namesakes
Above is a gallery of some namesakes that Field & Press have created over the years, which are produced using pressed flower petals and botanical elements, placed on to white Fabriano. The text underneath is written in Underwood Champion typewriter text. These beauties are a wonderful gift for a couple who are expecting a baby, for your husband or wife in celebration of your anniversary or their birthday, or for someone who you think simply needs to be reminded of the meaning of their name.
a standard a4 namesake is R2000, and can take anything from 2 – 5 weeks to create.
if you are interested in us creating a namesake for you, please fill in the form below, and we will be in touch with you.
what is included in your namesake?
* the Namesake artwork itself (A4 in size)
* a locally handmade oak or walnut frame (see our Frames page for more details on these), with museum glass
* a high resolution scan of the finished artwork which then be printed on to Hahnemhule German etching paper, and stored behind the original. Should the original pressed flower piece fade slightly with time (don’t worry, it’s perfectly normal), you will be able to pull the beautiful quality print out and store the original sentimentally and safely behind.
