One of our passions here at Field & Press is the use of the written word… an age old tool used to connect, to encourage and to communicate. Our cards were designed for just this purpose.
Not only this, but we are determined that a card given in love should be kept, not disposed of. And so with this in mind, we have left all our cards blank and flat (ie, you don’t open our cards, you turn them over and write on the back) in order that the designs be kept and used, maybe even framed and used as a piece of classic decoration. In this way, your words become encapsulated and treasured for more than just the shelf life of any given greeting card.
Each card has been created from scratch by Lara, the owner of Field & Press, using traditional flower pressing techniques.
All cards are printed in Cape Town on to 300gsm art card, compiled and sent out from Riebeek West in the Western Cape.
Large card 198mm x 140mm. Small card 98mm x 70mm.
Large cards are sleeved in delicate tissue paper, printed with a brief tale of the artwork.
Bespoke envelopes are matt black, with a gloss frame for the purpose of addressing the card.
